キッチンハーブとして楽しむというより、あくまでハーブ療法がメインです。
何に効果があるのかが、詳しくはっきり説明されていて、本当の意味で使えるレシピがたくさん載っています。

症状別の章をよく読むと、ハーブだけでなく、効果のある石や精油なども紹介されていますし、その中には、膀胱炎、更年期障害、性欲減退など、ちょっと他人には知られたくない症状などもあるので、とても心強い本だと思います。

ハーブの育て方や利用方法が知りたくて購入しました。
いろいろな活用法が書かれていていいんですが、
ハーブの庭こそあったら、活用できるであろうものが多かったです。
私はベランダでチョコチョコ育てているので・・。
この本は、
１．ハーブの庭をもっている
２．ハーブの加工方法や育て方を理解してる人（種類別に詳しく記載されてないので）
に該当する人が向いていると思います。
初心者さんには、部屋の飾りになってしまい、本がかわいそうです。
私は、初心者なのでじっくりハーブとお付き合いしてから、
改めてこの本を読んでみようと思います。

綺麗な写真が多く、見ていてとても心が満たされる本です。
ハーブのことも、育て方から摘み取り方、ハーブティーやハーブ酒、美容クリームの作り方まで幅広く書かれています。入浴剤の作り方も書いてありました。
またハーブだけでなく宝石療法のことも書かれていて、宝石に興味がある方にもオススメです。
ただ、外国の本のためか、日本ではあまり見かけないような（耳にしないような）野草も数多く出てくるので、少し難しいと感じました。日本人には、もう少し日本になじみ深いハーブを紹介してくれる本のほうがよいかもしれません。
