前作「ニューヨークの魔法使い」も面白かったのですが、
それ以上に楽しむことができました。
田舎から都会に出て一人暮らしをした女性は
「こういうこと、あるある」と共感することが多いのではないでしょうか？
特に、両親がニューヨークへ遊びに来て
娘を心配しつつも安心する・・というくだりは
おおげさなところもありますが、
親心ってどこでも一緒なんだなーと感じてしまいました。
主人公のケイティは魔法会社に勤めて
勝手に手の中にコーヒーが現れたり、ランチが出たりと何かと便利なのに
「普通がいい」と家で自炊したりするところなど、
日常と非日常が当たり前のように存在しているところが
この作品の魅力の一つだと思います。
もちろん、今回中心になっている恋愛もすごく楽しい要素です。

前作がとても面白かったので楽しみにしていました。
薦めたお友達やそのお姉さんも気に入って，この第二弾を待っていたのですが，
期待を裏切ることはないでしょう。今頃は読んでいるころかな？

今回もせこい魔法バトルに笑えます。
でも，私たちの（魔法のない）世界でも，一つ一つは小さなことが大きな結果につながったり，
小さな存在と思われる人の一言や少しの決断が事態を解決に導くことってありますよね。
そして何より，ひょっとしたら私たちの周りで実際あるんじゃないの〜〜と思わせる，
現実と不思議の混じり具合の絶妙さ。
これを読むと街を歩いていて屋根の上に何か見えてくるかもしれませんよ。
「赤い靴の誘惑」では，恋の行方も気になるところです（*^.^*）

日常にほんの少しSFが入っている話です。
あまりにもありきたりな日常生活の中で、ちょこちょこと非日常な出来事が起こるので、そのギャップがとてもおもしろいです。
文字は小さめですが、文章がおもしろいので、さくさくと読み進められると思います。
