北森鴻さんの香菜里屋の閉店後、竹内真さんが『シチュエーションパズルの攻防―
珊瑚朗先生無頼控』（これも創元クライムクラブ）にて、新しいバーを開店させたが、
どうも私には肩の凝る店だった。
“ビストロ　パ・マル”が好評営業中で、再び三舟シェフ、志村さん、ソムリエの
金子さん、語り手でギャルソンの僕に会えて嬉しい。
シリーズとしてこれからも贔屓にさせていただこう。

七つの話と七つの謎を愉しみました。
美味しい食べものとお酒を供するお店なので、悲惨さや怨念のこもったような
謎は似合わない。ちょっと気持ちに引っかかる「？？」といった体の
日常のなかの謎を取り上げているのがいい。
しかし、その謎には必ずひとの「情」が絡んでおり、他人には気安く見せられない
心の襞を、三舟シェフは見事に読み解いていく。そこが、おもしろい。

前回、多数の読み手が興味を抱いたであろう「ヴァン・ショー」について
一章を割いて取り上げているのがいい。
フランスでの修行時代の三舟の面影もなんだかかっこよくて、
人の心を掬いとることのできる料理人であるのが、よくわかる。

『タルト・タタンの夢』に続くシリーズ第２作目。下町の小さなフレンチレストラン「ビストロ・パ・マル」。ぶっきらぼうな三舟シェフが、おいしいお食事を提供しながら謎解きまでしてしまう。短編７話から構成されいます。★このシリーズ２作目ですけど、１作目に引き続きとても好感が持てました。何よりも三舟シェフの作る数々のお料理がとてもおしいそう。そして、もちろん謎解きも割と淡々としているのですが…。そこがシェフの無愛想な人柄とマッチしています。今回は、三舟シェフを好きな女性が登場したり、迷子の仔猫を巡っての悲しいお話。そして新規のパン屋さんを手伝ったり等々、話題が偏らずにサクサクと読めて面白かったです。第３弾もぜひ書いてもらいたいです。

前回の「タルト・タタンの夢」を読んだとき、これは、「美味しんぼ」みたいだな、と
いい意味で思いました。シェフの料理で悩みを抱えたお客さんがハッピーになったり
元気になったりするという健全でよくありそうな話だけど飽きの来ない感じ。
今回も、2冊目とあって、舞台となるビストロ「パ・マル」のシェフやソムリエなどの
レギュラーメンバーのキャラクターがはっきりしてきて、ますます面白く読めました。
天才シェフ・三船の修行時代の話なども入ってきて、このお話、まだまだ広がって
いきそうです。長い長いシリーズになっていってほしいな、と思います。
