かなり豪華な顔ぶれですが、これはという作品はありませんでした。
トリックがしょぼかったり、驚けなかったり。
あえてお勧めを挙げれば、法月綸太郎「ゼウスの息子たち」。
解答編を巻末にまとめているので、犯人当ての雰囲気は楽しめますが、
そこまで本気で突き詰める方は少ないのではないでしょうか。
読み易さだけで言えば、分けない方が良いですが、そこは好みですね。
よほどのファンでない限り、買ってまでは、、、というのが正直なところ。

　７人の作家の競演。最初に事件編の７つの短編があり、巻末に犯人の判る解決編が順に掲載されているが、あえてこのような並び順にする意味があるのかどうか、読みにくいのでバラす必要がないような気がする。
　お勧めは、麻耶雄崇と法月倫太郎だ。最も、麻耶雄崇のマトモな短編ミステリは面白くない。「はじけている長編が好き」という人もいるのだが、これはマトモな話に仕上がっている。
　芦辺拓は思わず「どうしちゃったの？」と言わんばかりの変形○○トリックだけど、これはアンフェアじゃないかな。

　本格ミステリは全てすべからく犯人当てミステリではないが、逆は真なり――と、本格の中にはアリバイ崩しや倒叙ものもあるんだから当然でしょ、というなかれ、犯人当てというか「読者への挑戦」付きミステリにはその枠組みの中で洗練されたアノ手コノ手のワザがあり、何なら鮎川哲也の創元推理文庫から出ている短編集を読んでくださいませ、いやーホントにン十年も前にこんなことを考えたひとがいるなんて、ちょっとした感動を覚えますですよ。近年、この種の感動を覚えたのは愛川晶『カレーライスは知っていた』(光文社文庫)。文句ナシの怪作集。
　さて本書はこれらとくらべると、まーずいぶんスマートな出来（笑)。解答を公募したのだから仕方ないといえばそうなんですが。でも「カレー――｣も懸賞小説だったんだけれど（しかも賞品自腹)。スマートなまま綺麗に解答編を纏めた法月綸太郎のが私のベスト。この「ゼウスの息子たち」は正解率５０％を狙った上で、物語を仕立てたと思う。
