お客さんがあまり来ない、静かな図書館の日常に起こる
ミステリーを綴った連作短編集です。

まずはそのシチュエーションに心が動かされました。
私たち本好きが愛してやまない図書館。
はじめはススキの生い茂る場所にぽつねんと建っていたけど、
れんげそうを植えて、
図書館のまわりは名所となるほどのれんげ畑になっていくのです。

もうこれだけで引き付けられませんか？（笑）

綴られるミステリーは、本当にどれもちょっとしたもので
謎解きの爽快感を感じられるほどではないのですが、
四季の移ろいが美しく描かれていて
読んでいて気持ちのいい作品です。

ただし、他のレビュアーさんが指摘しているように
人物描写の浅さは気になります。
とても素敵な作品なので、
ぜひ続編を書いて人の深みを描きこんでほしいのですが・・・。

知人に勧められて手に取りました。
そうでなければ自分で手に取ることはなかっただろうと思います。
少し控えめな（？）タイトルと表紙で見落とされてしまいがちですが
隠れた名作だと思います。

とある辺鄙な場所に建てられた図書館を舞台に起こる小さな事件。
それらを5篇集めた物語です。
今まであまり語られたことのなかった、図書館で働く新米司書の側から描かれています。
一応、ミステリというジャンルに分類されているようですが
全体的にはとてもほんわかした雰囲気の作品です。

自分自身が図書館で働いていた経験があるので
ものすごく入り込んで読めました。
本が好きなすべての人にお勧めですが
特に本にまつわるお仕事に就かれている方に強くお勧めします。

大好きな図書館と、大好きなミステリときては、放っておくわけには・・・と思い読んだ作品です。

舞台が図書館だから、もっとほのぼのとした謎なのかと思いきや、結構きつい。暮らしの中の謎といえるほっこりしたものも中にはあったけれど、血なまぐさいとまではいかないまでも、少々生臭いものもあったり。
それでも、謎としては面白かったのだけれど、皆さん書かれているように、登場人物が浅い。特に主人公の書き込みが足りていないように思う。司書としてもちょっと・・・。図書館の配架をほんの少し乱す人物を、あんなに「犯人」と連呼するのはどうかと。例え仲間内だけだとしても、いい気はしません。
謎が面白かっただけに、少々残念です。

司書は日ごろレファレンスとかしてるから、なかなかの名探偵でもあるんですね。恋とか、日常生活のはなしもレファレンスの応用っぽくって笑ってしまいました。
