懐かしいなあ、嬉しいなあ、久しぶりだなあ、いろんなことを思いながら、駒子シリーズ第３作を読みました。加納さんの持ち味というべき、さりげない日常の謎が快くて、楽しめました。「スペース」という言葉に込められた意味のあれこれを考えながら、ちょっとほろっときたり、にんまりしたり。瀬尾さんと駒子ちゃんの、恥じらいを秘めた恋心も、淡くにじみ出るようでいいなあと思わせられました。淡々と綴られているようでいて、実は周到に用意された＜謎＞が人の心まで浮き彫りにして、感動を連れてくるのでした。「バック・スペース」は「スペース」と、いわばネガポジのような関係。駒子ちゃん自身は語られるほうの立場ですが、これがまたおもしろかったです。切なくて純情な一途な恋心が、実に爽やかに心に沁みました。取り柄のない普通の女の子が、たった一人の大事な人を見つけること、人生に意味さえ見いだす力が恋にはあって、読みながらまどかちゃんを応援している私がいました。

謎や疑問が解かれる楽しみにまして、私が加納さんの作品を好きなのは、こうした何気ない日常の中で、思い悩み、かっこ悪くたって何だって、一生懸命に生きようとする登場人物に注がれる、加納さんの温かいまなざしが心地よいからなのです。

駒子シリーズ第3弾です。
駒子シリーズを読まれている方は、
本当に楽しめる作品になっています。
同じ時間を、別の人物の視点から描いた
ものもあり、とてもおもしろかったです。
日常の中に潜む「謎」
とても透明感のあるミステリーだと思います。
ミステリーだけど、心がほっとする。
そんな作品です。

私が駒子の物語に出会ったのはもう随分前のこと。本屋で表紙に惹かれたから。帯の言葉に誘われて、ふと手に取ったのでした。今思えば、出会いと言うに相応しい出会いだったなぁ。
実際に読んで、駒子にはとても親近感が沸きました。なんて愛くるしいキャラクターだろう！
それは、何年たっても変わらず、ご健在。今回は外から書かれることによって、よりその可愛らしさが際立ってます。
手紙や会話の行間、語られなかった空白という｢スペース｣。それに呼応するような｢バックスペース｣。
この二つのお話は、私の中でとてもいとおしい世界として存在しています。
何気ないストーリー展開に思わぬトリック（大袈裟）、というか伏線が仕掛けられていて、途中泣いたり笑ったり、最後は後味のよいお話です。

”生きていればきっと、逃げ出すよりほかに道がないときだってある”
一度打ち込んだ文字を、バックスペースキーで消したって、
少しくらい後戻りして、やり直したって、いいんじゃない？
そんな、かっこ悪い私たちを励ましてくれるような、
こころあたたまる物語でした。
なんだか、もう一度読み返した方がよさそう。
