「魔法のどうぶつえん」は、
話題の旭山動物園の飼育動物を取った写真集ということで、
話題性もあって手に取りました。

旭山の空気をうまく伝えていて、
眺めていると動物園の来訪者か職員になった気分です。
空が広いし、北国の感じも伝わってきます。

シロクマやチンパンジー、キリンなど一瞬の表情が切り取られています。
野生動物だとこういう表情はなかなか撮れないのではと思わせます。
飼育動物、動物園ならではの写真だと思いました。

なぜか旭山の動物は毛並みがきれいです。
撮影前に風呂に入れたのだろうか。。。
気になってしかたないです。

岩合さんの写真集の良さは写された動物そのものの良さにあると思います。この本もその点で期待にたがえませんでした。ただし今回は、「旭山動物園」の感触がもう少しほしい気がしました。
