ホモセクシャルに関する資料を読んだのは今回が初めてだったけど、ほうほうと鳴いてしまった。

アメリカにおけるレズビアン受容・認識・解放運動が、性心理学など「レズビアン」なる語のなかった頃から膨大な資料を辿り調査されている。

米出版は91年だからだいたい冷戦体制の崩壊までであり、「反体制」という語が出てくきて（実際に知らないけど）「懐かしい」と思ってしまう。
また、男性同性愛者と運動を共にするのではなく、フェミニズム運動との深い関連で解放を叫んでいることも興味深い。

「レズビアンの歴史」であることも確かだが、読み進めて行けば女性性が浮き彫りになっていることに気付き、鳴くことになるだろう。ほう。

男性同性愛者についての研究書は知らないが、音楽にも興味があるなら、野田努の労作『ブラック・マシン・ミュージック』がおすすめだ。
