読んで思わず「映画化」されたら、素敵だなぁと思いました。「ショーシャンクの空に」のようなさわやかな作品です。

「セイジ」の後に読みました。「青空のルーレット」、著者らしいユーモアのある台詞、個々を大事にした展開、夢を持っている人間、夢を追う人間、様々な考えの交差。ラストを予感しつつ、一気読み。そのカタルシスは、映像さえイメージさせて、「ぶわっ」と男泣きしました。ああ、これが男なんだ！男というものなんだ！とても気持ちの良い涙でした。爽やかな読後感。特に、現場作業の経験のある方、「必泣きの一冊です」。

私は、この物語「青空のルーレット」に出てくる、主人公やその仲間達がひどく好きです。
それはみんな、とても魅力的な人物に書かれているから、
そしてなにより、夢を見るために仕事をしている、という生き方に強く惹かれました。
窓拭きのバイトを、夢を見続けるために、やっている。
そんな生き方をしている人達が、とても純粋に見えて、

人が本当に生きるということは、こういう事なのかもしれないとさえ思います。
久しぶりに、純粋に感動する事の出来た物語です。
