1935‐1983。青森県弘前市の生まれ。早くより詩や短歌を発表。十八歳のとき短歌研究新人賞を受賞して脚光をあびる。早大在学中にネフローゼを発病し四年間の療養生活を送る。その後、劇団「天井桟敷」結成、劇作家、演出家として活動のかたわら、小説、批評、詩、歌謡、映画、競馬評論などさまざまな分野で才能を発揮した。旺盛な仕事のさなかに急死(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

このちくま日本文学シリーズの文庫版……
【小さな宝物】だと思います。

わたしは今回寺山修司さんのを買いました。
それというのも、彼の遺した作品は、今日ではほとんどが簡単に手に取ることが出来ないからです。

図書館で借りてくる気にもなれず、なかば諦めていたところ、このようなシリーズがあると知り、早速購入しました。


内容も充実してますし、何より彼の生々しいまでの、生きた記録が残っているようで感動しました。
短歌なども抜粋して収録されていて、とてもバランスのよい一冊になっていると思います。


ただ……欲を言えば、わたしは寺山さんの短歌が大好きなので、
もう少しだけでも短歌を増やしてほしかったなァ……というところです。
それをこめて、☆は四つにさせていただきました。すみません。


それでも、素晴らしい作品の数々がこの価格で存分に楽しめるこの文庫本は、
間違いなく、サイズこそ小さくても、宝物に変わりはありません。
