3部からなっているこの書の，第1部の「気流の鳴る音」，第2部の「旅のノートから」も不思議な感覚にとらわれながら，ともかく面白く読んだ．しかし何といっても第3部の「交響するコミューン」の随所にちりばめられている死生観には圧倒された．これほどまで強く，はっきりした言葉で，現代における我々の生き方(死に方）を指し示してくれる書は読んだことがない．宗教に頼って安息の錯覚を得るのではなく，我々全てが明日執行官がドアを叩くかもしれない死刑囚であることを受容し，今日一日の刹那を生きつくす，そんな勇気を与えてくれる．

これは、カルロス・カスタネダに夢中になっていた私をみて、
ある大学の先生がすすめてくれた本です。
カルロス・カスタネダや中沢新一先生、細野晴臣さんの対談集や
タオの自然学なんかにはまりにはまっていたときに読みました。
これらの系統が好きな方にはお勧めです。
暑苦しくなく、つぼどころをきちんと書いて教えてくださいます。

アメリカ文化にどっぷり浸かった現代の日本では、
目的のない人生は無意味、とばっさり切り捨てられる。
でも、本当にそうなんだろうか？
一日一日、あるいはその時々が充実していればそれでいいのでは？
と思った人は大正解。
人生の目的を見つけられない人、目的を探しあぐねている人、

そんなものはいらないと思っている人、みんなに読んでもらいたい本。
ドン・ファンの説く「心ある道」は
目的強迫観念にとらわれたすべての人を解放してくれるに違いない。
