　本書の読者層は広く設定されているようですが、本書は高校生にも推薦できる良書だと思われます。
　大学受験において志望学部をどこにしようかと考え始めたとき、「文学部や法学部でやることはだいたい想像がつくけど『経済学』って何？」と感じた人は多いのではないかと思います。
　この『経済学を学ぶ』では数学的なモデルを使わずに、経済学の本質的な内容が本当に分かり易い文章で説明されています。需要、供給、規模の経済、弾力性といった経済学に必須の概念が素直に理解できるような印象を覚えます。
　経済学の分析対象の範囲だけではなく、経済学のモノの考え方の基本が１冊に納められており、悩める受験生が進路を決める際の参考になることと思います。
　もちろん、大学受験以外の場面でも、「公務員試験の科目に経済学がある」とか、「読まなきゃいけない論文や本に経済学の概念が利用されている」とか、「新聞やニュースで報道される経済に関する出来事の背景にある仕組みをなんとなくでいいから知りたい」といったような場合に有用な本であることには違いありません。

　本書では、経済学とは何かということから、需要と供給などの経済学の基礎的なこと、経済学を学ぶ時の態度、経済学の学び方などがわかりやすく書かれています。短い時間で経済学を勉強しなければならない状況にある人、漠然と経済学に興味を持っている人にもおススメです。

本当に基礎の基礎から書いてある、わかりやすい経済学入門書です。
高校の経済の教科書に使いたいぐらいです。

価格の決定、ミクロ・マクロ、需要と供給、などが初歩から書いてあります。

ただ、経済学って何？、ぐらいのところからわかるように書いてありますので、ある程度基礎知識があると簡単で退屈してしまうかもしれません。
