著者が、自らの精神の経験を告白しながら、孤独と不安にどのように付き合っていくのかを具体的に教えてくれる、若者に語りかけるような形式の本。年をとっても、孤独と不安は薄まらないどころか強まるばかりなのだ。だからこそ、｢前向きの不安｣を友として｢ひとり｣で生きていこう！ということだ。

結構具体的なので、読んでいると役に立つような気がする。ポイントは、とにかく自分を探求しすぎないこと。好きなこと、楽しいことを実際にすることが良い。｢不安｣は決してなくならないので、不安にフォーカスを当てないことが大切。そのために、人に何か｢贈り物(物とは限らない)｣をするという著者のやりかたがいいと思った。

安易なノウハウ本でこそないけれど、著者が自ら捜し求めた生きかたは著者にぴったりフィットしていても、読者としては、自分の生きかたはやはり自分が試行錯誤してみつけるしかないのだなあ、と、あたりまえのことに気付かされる。

著者のいうとおりだと思います。以前から、たくさんの友達がいたとしても幸せとは限らないと思っていましたが、この本を読んで、中途半端な壊れた世間という表現に納得したり、一人でいる時間をもっと大切にしなきゃいけないな、と改めて自分の今を反省しました。周囲に同調しすぎて自分を見失いかけている人たちに読んでもらいたいです

自己啓発に関係する本って言うとどうしても、女性向けの本が
多いのですが、この本は男性が読んでも凄く為になる内容が
多いです。ですから、借りて読むのではなく、購入して読む価値は
あると思います。『ひとり』でいたいけど『仲間』と常にいないと
仲間はずれにされそうで怖いと思ったり、『ひとり』でいることに
とても不安を持つ人には特にお薦めです。私も、この本を読んで
今の生活がとっても楽しくなってすごく嬉しいです。
騙されたと思って、一度読んでみてください。きっと
読み終わった後には変化が表れると思います。
