「老人力」など、ユニークな視点で物事を観察する著者の、裸眼立体視に対する、これまたユニークな考察が、いつもの軽快な語り口で披露されている。欧米ではビュアーでステレオ写真を観察することが一般的なのに対し、日本で裸眼立体視（平行法）が流行したのは、禅問答に似たその練習方法にあるのではないか、と。ステレオ写真にも造詣が深いだけあって、掲載された１０８枚の自作のステレオ写真は、いずれもなかなかの作品。ステレオ写真が目当ての人は言うまでもなく、なぜステレオ写真が面白いのか知りたい人にもお薦めの一冊。
