「絶対速読法」と筆者が呼称していますが、その名の通り、確実に速くなる速読術だと思われます。
ただ、「ブロック読み」のみに絞っているため、もしかしたら、更なる速読を目指す（三千字／分以上）人には、物足りないかもしれません。

私の場合は、速読をトレーニングしていて、一応三千字／分以上の読書速度ではあるのですが、
読書時に、速く読もうとするストレスから、内容があまり理解できなかったり、全体に眼を通すことができないことがしばしばでした。
ですが、この本を一度やっただけで、文章をあまりストレスを感じることなしに確実に読めるようになり、視点移動もスムーズになりました。

この本は、初心者の方にとっては、目的が明確で、かなり取り組みやすいですし、速読に挫折した方や、伸び悩んでる方にも、多かれ少なかれ効果があると思います。

速読に憧れて、これまでに何冊もの「速読」についてのトレーニングの書籍を読み、
(またはＰＣソフトを購入)挫折してきた者にとっては、
今までの著者・出版社を恨みたくなるような素晴らしい書籍。

著者の言うように「今の２倍の速さで読めればそれでも速読」
と言うのは目から鱗。

パラパラと捲って「もう読みました」と言う超人芸を
速読と思い、それを目指していたのは、私だけではないはず(笑)。

著者は「速読」を誰でも出来ることと教え、
日常レベル(例は縦の幅の狭い新聞から)から実践方法を披露していく。

この書籍に書いてあるとおりにトレーニングを積んで行けば、
少なからずとも本を読むスピードは上がるはずだ。

これは非常に画期的な方法論である。

本に書いてある通りに訓練した結果、訓練前600文字／分が訓練後900文字／分になりました。個人差はあると思いますが、1.5倍は可能だと思います。速読の入門書としては、合格点だと思います。１ページを１秒で読めるようになることを目的とした本ではありません。
