要は思考停止人間にはなってはいけないということなんだと思います。
よく「戦争を経験していない大人」が口にする、「憲法９条はアメリカから押し付けられた物」という言葉。もし日本人が無理やり押し付けられたものだとしたらこの時代まで守り通したでしょうか。そのような人たちは安倍首相が憲法改正を口にする前から９条を本当に変えたいと思っていたのでしょうか。またそのような運動をしていたのでしょうか。
よく自分の国は自分で守れという人がいますが、その人自身が戦場に行く訳ではありません。

この本を読み、憲法を変えようとしている人間達は結局は若者に守ってもらいたいだけということが分かりました。そうでないなら安倍さん、一緒に戦場へ行きましょう。

爆笑問題・太田光の短編エッセーです。
テーマは幅広く、時事問題、社会問題、文学、そして自分自身のこと。
専門家の言葉を使うのではなく、自身の内側にある言葉を使って適切に表現されているところにこだわりを感じます。
それだけに主張の賛成・反対に関係なくもっと読みたくなり、もっと太田光自身を知りたくなる。
太田光が主張する「表現することの大切さ」を自身の本を通じて表現した一冊だと思います。

パラレルな世紀への跳躍がすごく面白かったので、買いました。
パラレルな世紀への跳躍では、章毎に話題が異なり、小説風だったり、毒舌だったりといろんな面を持ってる作者に感心して最後まで楽しく読めました。
本作は、パラレルな世紀への跳躍の続編ではないですが、文書がまったく違います。
人は成長すると言いますが、太田光の考え方もすごく成長していることがわかります。
戦争と平和についての話題ですが、文章力のすごさに感心しました。
イラク戦争の日本人の自己責任問題や日本人人質の話では、今更ながら当時何も考えず何もしなかったことを思いだしました。あの騒ぎは何だったのでしょうか。
リアルタイムで出来事を自分のフィルタを通して表現できる人間っていいと思った。
