処女作とは思わせない力作。電子部品の商社だったアドバンスを、情報機器商社として飛躍的に発展させていく過程は読み応えがあり、著者プロフィールからアナリスト&ファンドマネージャーの経験があると知って妙に納得。またビジネスの世界に生きる男たちや、父と息子の関係もリアルに描かれていたと思う。後半、主人公がギリギリの決断を迫られる展開からは目が離せなかった。今後の作品もぜひ読みたいと思う。

作者からとても大きな勇気をもらった。
自分は、問題再送り・上司の指示通りにしか動かない・自分の意見は絶対いわない・上司が帰るまで帰れない職場に勤務しており言い訳はひたすら家族のためという自分に対し、痛烈な鉄拳であった。
ベンチャー企業での非常に濃い人間ドラマ。それをささえてくれた妻。
我々、平凡なサラリーマンには理想のような、威風堂々とさわやかに、ドロ臭く人間味あふれるストーリー展開に酔いしれた。このままでサラリーマン生活を終えて良いのか？沢木耕太郎の＜一号線を北上せよ＞
を読み終えた時とよく似た爽やかな勇気を貰った。

現在銀行員の小生にとり、畑山の生き様は痛烈なメッセージを与えてくれた。ベンチャー企業での苦労と成功と銀行の陰謀！！
世の中的には安定した、農耕民族の銀行員と違い、証券マンは＜時差・金利差は金なり＞と狩猟民族でバイタリティ溢れる。
家族のためと言いながら、何か不完全燃焼の毎日に対し、＜このままでサラリーマンを終えて本当に良いのか？後悔しないサラリーマン生活だったのですか？＞
誰も責任を取らない、問題先送り、事なかれ主義の風潮に痛烈なメッセージをくれた作者に、＜ありがとうを言いたい＞。
