どんな苦境に立っても、つらい経験をしても呪ったり恨んだり、絶望してはならない。それは試練であり、けして諦めてはいけない。いつもオグマンディーノは私たちをそう励ましつづけてきた。そして、今回のオグマンディーノは、彼の哲学の根底に流れる人間としての優しさと強さを、現代文明と伝統の狭間にある美しいラップランドに住む少年に託した。
　今回は共著だからなのか、ひねりと意外性に満ち溢れている。いつもだったら読者が予想した通りに進んでいくはずのストーリーに、いくつもの「ええ！？」という新鮮な展開がある。マンディーノ氏お得意の話中での成功哲学の伝え方もかなりひねってある。
　美しい場面設定が人間の心に潜む美醜とコントラストをなし、人の美しさとは何かについて気づかせてくれる。ファンでなくても楽しめるお勧めの一冊。

大人たちは少年がたこで捕まえた星を使っての損得を計算する。
少年はただ村を明るくしたかっただけなのに、やがて星の光は大人達の心もてらし目覚めさせる。
星のお話し、いいですね。
是非ご一読を。
