日本のカウンセリング本よりずっとウィットに富んだ、楽しく読みやすい本です。しかし、その内容にはしっかりと心理学的な要素をもとに書かれているため、信頼して書かれていることを読むことが出来ます。

内容はこの価格でこんなにいいの？というほど豊富に盛り込まれていて、たとえば罪悪感を感じるときにはどうすればいいか、過去についてどう思うのか、自分を愛するということは、、と、人が弱くなったり迷ったときに大抵はふと考え込んでしまうネガティブな側面の殆んどについて解決策やアドバイスを与えてくれる。これほど豊富な内容を、楽しく安心して読めるとは思わなかった。星５つ。

タイトルが軽々しい感じなのであまり期待せずに購入したが、悩んでいる今の自分にとっては、いろいろと考えさせられる言葉が多く、この本に出会ってよかったと思っている。他人の言動や態度に振り回されずに、自分なりの価値観を持っていいのだ…と、読み終えて自分が強くなったように感じた。それにしてもこのタイトル、なんとかならないだろうか。

評価がかなりよいので買ってみた。内容としては、確かに学ぶところはあったし、気づきもあった。
しかし無理をしないことを強調するあまり、個人的には向上心を失ってしまいそうな気がした。

また、訳者がよろしくないのか、あまりに直訳で読みにくい箇所が多数あった。
「愛から生きているのならば、天国と地球が一つになる場所をつくっているのです。」
「夜、自分自身の皮膚の中で眠ることができるなら、あなたの人生は大成功です」
「あなたが幸せにしておける力を持つ対象は、あなた自身なのです。」
その他、まどろっこしい日本語、明らかに日本語としておかしくて意味わからない文もしばしば登場。この訳者はネイティブ日本語使いではないんじゃないだろうか？？
正直、読むのが疲れた。
この本はもう一度、自然な日本語に直した方がいいんじゃないかと思われる所が多数ある。英語読めるなら、きっと原書の方が良いだろう。
