地球温暖化の問題は誰もが知っているが，自分の生活に落とし込んでいる人は少ない．まるでライオンのたてがみを無邪気に引くこどものようであるかのように．一人一人が温暖化に関わっているにもかかわらず．
現在，工業化される前に比べて，約＋1℃の上昇が観測されているが，＋2℃の温度上昇に抑え込むことができないと，それはそれはおっとろしい事態になる．
この本は，まずは現実を知ってもらう，そして何をすべきか必ずしも明確に書かれてはいないが，具体的な対応例が書かれている．
パラパラ絵で，温暖化の進行を示したのは面白いが，どのような根拠・ケースで算出された形なのか，もう少々丁寧に説明しても良かったのではないだろうか．

始動から数年を経過した後も今なお活発な活動を続けている『Think the
Earth Project』組織上のProjectで手がけた書です。赤い表紙のインパクトが
強いのですが、このような本にありがちな内容が伴っていないものではなくて、
データの裏付けを取りながら気候変動という概念について、素人でも分かり易く
説明されています。
また、右ページには１９５０〜２１００年までの地球の平均気温シミュレーション
図が掲載されており、このインパクトも非常に大きいです。
同プロジェクトから既刊の「百年の愚行」がありますが、どちらの本を読んでも
私たちはそれぞれの立場において地球環境を考えた場合、今できうることを
移さなければならない時期に差し掛かっていると言えることは間違いない
ようです。

このままノーテンキに車をバスを家庭での電力使いすぎ
そのたもろもろわたくしたちは自分達が楽になるように
節操なく消費してきたつけがやってくるのだ。
　たいていの人はその位わかっている。
しかし、わかろうとせずにいる人達がたくさん
この地上にいるのだ。
あと50年もつのであろうかこの地球という水色の美しい球を!!

だれにでも読んでほしい、そして実行してほしい。
　一読推薦します。
