家づくりに関する様々な誤解や先入観（例：木造家屋の耐火・耐震性、坪単価の考え方等）に対して、ストーリー仕立てでかなりわかり易く説明してくれています。ただ、家づくりについて他の本などで少し勉強した人にとっては目新しいものはあまりありません。私は個人的に「収入型住宅プラン」の考え方は面白いなと思いました。

本書の後半は著者が社長を務めるアキュラホームの宣伝パンフレットみたいになっているので、アキュラで家を建てる人にとっては意を強くする内容ですが、それ以外の人にとっては興ざめでは…

建売住宅を検討していましたが、手抜き工事が怖いと感じていたので参考になりました。それ以上に業者の説明が、まさしく「売らんがため」になっていて「話がさっぱり分からない」という、本に書いてある状況そのものでした。高い買い物だから「安心して任せたい」と思っている私たちの気持ちを無視した業者のやり方には閉口していたところだったので、そんな折、この本はまさに知りたいことが書いてあり、今の自分にぴったりの内容でした。もっと先まで書いて欲しい気もします。
