本書は、「勝ち方」の指南書。
確かに、巻末の著者プロフィールを見ると、そこには華麗な遍歴が並んでいる。だが、本人は「大きな挫折」を２回も経験しているという。そもそも転職なんて挫折だという。なぜか？

著書は「勝つ」べき相手を、ライバルでも競合会社でもなく、自らが描く「地図」に設定するからだ。
マクロ視点から分析し、己の志をこめた地図。自分自身を実現するための行動指針を示す地図。すべてはそこから始まる、という。

そして地図を実現するための、あるいは地図をよりよく修正していくための、具体的な「行動パターン」を教えてくれている。「満員電車に乗るな」「２，３割の法則」「ライバルを仲間にしろ」「提案書は毎日書く」「メモ魔になれ」などなど。

自分で描いた地図を、微修正ではきかず全面的に書き換えなければならない時がきたら、それは挫折といえるかもしれない。でも同時に、自分の殻を脱ぎ捨てる脱皮の瞬間でもある。地図がないと、脱皮はできない。

「自分がやりたいことは何だろう？」と悩む人に推薦したい一冊。

山崎氏のバックグランドをベースに書かれた本。

ついつい転職本かと思いきや、そうではなかった。

「満員電車には乗るな」これは物理的にもそうなのだが、

「現在の人気企業への就職は将来が担保されているわけでもなく」
また

「現在、旬なビジネスを今、真似しても駄目だよ」

ということの警鐘である。

勝つためにはそのプロセスをきちんと判定していくことが
大切と説く。

何を捨て去り、何を選ぶか、真剣に生きるほど迷うことは多い。人生のチャンスは、誰にでも偶然にして平等に訪れるものでは決して無く、自分で創り出すものであることを改めて知る。第五の鉄則「悲観的に準備して、楽観的に行動する」とはどういうことなのか？・・・自分自信の力を謙虚にしてあくまでも信じきるとはどういうことか、そして、それが何を与えてくれるかを、読み進めるうちに分かってくる先人の言葉と感じた。後人への愛情をも感じる「勝つための八つの鉄則」を、人生を切り開く糸口探索すべく、ぜひ読まれたし。

題名に惹かれたかったが、メモを取れなど新入社員研修で教わったことしか書いていなかった。
これを本にするとはちょっと無理があるのではないのか。
