最初に私がグロービスの書籍を何冊も持っているという事実を述べておく必要があると思う。

「マネジメント・ブック」は常に手元においておく参考書として非常に有用であるし、「アカウンティング」は経営者としての観点からの説明がわかりやすかったし、「ファイナンス」も当時目新しかった理論を素人でもわかるように説明してくれた。

いずれも高い価格ながら、それに見合った本としての満足感を感じつつ、手元に置いている。

しかし・・・

この「定量分析」は全くいただけない。

いろいろな指数を寄せ集めて見せただけで、本当に定量分析が理解できるとは思えない。

定量分析を学びたい方には、他の教科書をおすすめし、グロービスには大幅改定を期待したい。

　いままでこのシリーズに定量分析の本がないのは、１冊でB-Schoolの定量分析を纏め上げることは不可能に近いからだと思っていた。そこでこの本が出版されて買ってみたが、内容に期待したほどの深みがなく途中で読むのを止めた。

　モンテカルロ分析という言葉が節立てされていてもクリスタルボール（シュミレーションソフト名）の画像が貼り付けてあるだけで、モンテカルロシュミレーションを十分に説明していない。EBITやEBITDA等についても他のシリーズ本と重なる点が多く、”定量分析”として独立させて出版させた意義が感じられないと思われた。Management Science, Applied Statistics, Operation Managementの専門性を感じさせる内容が残念ながらなかった。

定量分析に関するニーズは潜在的にあると思うし、だからこそこのシリーズでのテーマに選ばれたのだろう。しかし、本書は深みがないばかりか、実用性も乏しいのではないだろうか。

総花的な内容でひとつひとつの項目が表層的で、読了した後に定量分析ができるようになるとは思えない。各項目について、本書にある参考文献で勉強する方がいいだろうし、結局手を動かすしかないのだろう。
