ドラッカーの最近刊本ですが、中身は、すでに出典している物の編集物。その出典本も、過去に読んではいますが、又、この本を購入しました。彼に記述は一貫していて、この本に書かれていることは、過去に書かれたことの繰り返しですが、そのことを自分が実務に実践しているかと考えると、少しも出来ていないのではと思ってしまいます。さすがに、過去の出典をうまく編集なさっていると思います。

本書は、P.F．ﾄﾞﾗｯｶﾞーにより「ウォールストリート・ジャーナル」誌に掲載された経営革新論の総まとめ集である。読書好きな方には電車の中でも気軽に読むことが出来る。また、経営者にとっても、ﾄﾞﾗｯｶﾞーから直接、経営アドバイスが得られたように感じられる「編集上の工夫」も感じられた。

どの章から読み始めても十分参考になる「企業家への経営アドバイス集」といった印象。長期的な視点で経営の本質にアプローチする姿勢こそが、ﾄﾞﾗｯｶｰの特徴であり、日本の経営者や一般読者に彼が多方面から評価されきた要因であろうことが理解できる一冊です。

5.0 out of 5 stars ドラッカー入門~理工系にも読んで欲しい, 2004/7/26
「機会は、それに値する者の扉だけを叩く」
カバーをめくるとそうかかれてあります。まずこの当たり前の言葉に力を感じます。

　内容は、今までのドラッカー氏の著作を経営者にとって必要であるだろうと考えられるものを翻訳者上田先生が編集したという点では、以前に発行された「~の条件」3部作と同じでしょうか。しかし、どの論も色あせず今でも示唆にとんだ知見を我々に与えてくれます。少なくとも私には。

　今、私は工学系大学院に在籍しており、MOT(Management of Technology)に興味を抱いております。そういった内容に興味のある方は是非第4部「イノベーションと生産性」に目を通していただきたい。特に「研究開発にかかわる10の原理」や、「イノベーションに成功するには」という章は、きっとエンジニアとしてもかみ締めておくべき内容だと痛感しました。

　まだまだドラッカー初心者ですが、これを機にさらに他の著作も読み進めていくつもりです。
