パリの地図や，地下鉄・バスの路線図などが細かく載っているので，パリ市内を移動するのにとても便利．美術館のセクションが豊富で（40ページ），ルーブルとオルセーに関しては有名な展示品の簡単な解説もついている．その他，比較的すいている入り口や時間帯などが紹介されていたり，自分の見たい絵がどこの美術館に展示されているかを探すための逆引き一覧があったりと内容充実．アールヌーヴォー巡りやパッサージュ巡り，ヘミングウェイが通ったバー特集などなど，番外編的な情報も優れている．その他，ワインの種類やチーズの種類などの話題まで，とにかく吸収しきれないほど情報が満載．

確かに情報等々詳しく載ってはいます、・・・・・

しかし、交通機関の乗り場などに間違いが多くパリでは大変苦労しました、特にタクシー乗り場ですね、これから買う方は注意が必要です。

観光者向けに書かれた本だけど、パリ滞在者にもけっこう役立つ情報が満載。カタカナのルビが振ってある地図や、路線図、レストランやカフェのガイド、地区別ガイド、月々のイベント、パリから行く日帰り旅、美術館ガイドが掲載されていて、パリ滞在者にも十分遣える内容になっている。電話、携帯電話、インターネット、郵便、宅配など、来たばかりのときは分からないことが多い分野の情報も網羅されている。盗難、紛失、病気、ケガなど旅行者でなくてもあうことが多い。そんなトラブル対策も載っている。旅でつかえる簡単なフランス語も掲載されていて、パリにきたばかりのときはここに掲載されているフレーズがよく遣える。「町歩きのために知っておきたい歴史の話」というコラムは散歩するときに遣えるし、「芸術にもっと親しむためのアートコラム」は芸術好きの人には必須の情報だろうし、「最新お役立ち情報」ではメトロでのトラブル投稿集などが掲載されている。
