普段、本を読む時間がないが、この連休に一気に読んだ。
いまの子供達の荒れ方に対して、親が「恩」というものをしっかり伝えていなかったからだと、ガッツさんはいう。
この本に書いてあることは、親として、人として、一つ一つ納得のいく非常に説得力のある言葉ばかりだ。
お金も学歴も、何もないガッツさんが、「ガッツ」と努力で勝ち取ったいまの成功。
辛い人生であっても、そこから逃げずに常に前向きに生きてきた結果だ。息子にもぜひ読ませたい。

　この間、「最驚！ガッツ伝説」を読んで大いに笑ったばかりだった。ガッツさんは本当の天然だと思った。
　ところが、先日、ドラマとかのコーナーにこの本が並んでいるのを見て、おやっと思って、手に取って読んでみた。なんか様子がちがうぞと思った。俺の読めない漢詩も出ていた。
　そういえば、選挙に落選した時のガッツさんのコメントを聞いた時も、おやっと思ったのを思い出した。「昔だったら、切腹ものか、打ち首ものです」とか言っていた。それでちょっと他の立候補者と違うなと思って、見直した。
　この本を読んで、やっぱりただものではないと思った。テレビの天然ぼけの姿とこの本のガッツさんのギャップが大きすぎて、自分の中では本当のガッツ像が未消化のままだ。俺にとっては、こっちの方が「最驚のガッツ伝説」だぜ！

テレビで独特のキャラでどちらかというとボケキャラだけど何か深みがあるなと思っていました。その訳がこの本を読んでよくわかりました。テレビからだけでは想像もできない別の一面のガッツさんを知ることができました。大納得でした。
