東洋医学は疑似科学的な理論が展開されるものが多く(そう言うものなのかもしれないが)、この本も同様で科学的根拠には乏しい。

しかし『気』について、体で感じてきた事や個人的に共感する考え方も多く、効果的、実践的な具体策も明快に提唱されていて参考になった。

　それまでの東洋医学理論を批判的に再検討し、著者独自の見解により革命的とも言ってよいほど新たに組みなおされた理論が展開される。やや言葉づかいが難しく、哲学理論を援用している箇所もあるため読みにくいかもしれないが、非常に透徹した論理により理論構築をしているので、概念そのものはむしろ単純明快である。

　実践面においては、治療者は必ず邪気を受け真気を奪われるという、これまで感覚的に知られてはいたものの誰も正面から向き合ってこなかった問題に真剣に取り組んでいる。
　また患者の気を補う法として、従来の

・治療者の気を送る
・天の気を治療者が頭頂より受けその気を送る

のほかに

・自身の体を通さずに天の気を直接患部に送る

という方法を提唱し推奨している。

　気や霊能に関する旧来の迷妄を解く記述もあり（気の高まりや超能力と人格・霊格は無関係、いかなる神秘体験も単なる魔境にすぎない、気で大切なのは量より質、質より（気が運ぶ）情報、など）、その冷静な観察力にも敬意を表したい。

　東洋医学に何らかの形でかかわっている方、少しでも興味のある方にはぜひ一度読んでみられることをお勧めする。
