この本は、妊娠中（妻が）の人が何を食べてはいけなくて、何を食べればよいか書いているだけでなく、簡単に （私のような料理の下手な夫でも）作れるようなレシピ もいっぱい紹介されています。それと、胎児にどの時期 にどのような栄養が必要で、どのような食事をすればよ いかも書かれているので、非常に良心的です。この内容

で１２００円はお買い得だと思います。

近年、妊娠初期に必須といわれている栄養素「葉酸」について、もっと書かれているのではと思って購入しましたが、空振りでした。
おそらく、初版の1997年当時から、加筆も修正もしてないのでしょう。本文中では、葉酸については全く触れられてないので、正直いって損した気分です。
医学の世界は日進月歩。できるだけ最新の情報を読者に届けてほしいものです。
野菜の切り方や出汁のとり方まで載せていましたが、家庭科の教科書ではないので、そこまで初歩的な情報は不要なのでは…？と思います。

妻の初めての妊娠で何をどうしたらいいのかまったくわからなかった私にとって非常に役立つ本でした。妊娠した妻を持つ夫にもお勧めします。
