1938年札幌市生まれ。自らの足で珈琲生産国や欧米60余国を回り、1968年に「珈琲屋バッハ」を出店。1972年に自家焙煎を始める。現在、バッハコーヒーグループを主宰しており、自らが学んできた知識、技術の後進指導に専念している(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

~文庫本サイズの小さな本であるが，大別して，豆の話，いれ方に関わる話，アレンジ珈琲やお菓子等の周辺事項，の順にバランスよく記述されています．本の大きさゆえ網羅的ではないもののカタログ的内容（豆の種類や種々の商品紹介など）も結構含まれていて楽しめます．全編カラー写真満載でありながら値段も安く，とてもコストパフォーマンスの高い本だと思い~~ます．~

写真がふんだんに使われていて、非常に読みやすい本です。
コーヒーの入れ方指導は勿論のこと、豆の保管方法、豆が生産されてから店頭に並ぶまで・・などかゆいところに手が届く内容です。
情報量もさることながら、文庫本サイズで620円（税込み）という手軽さも魅力です。
豆からコーヒーを淹れてみたい人の入門書としてだけでなく、ちょっと興味がある・・という方にもおすすめです。
何と言っても、値段が安いですから。

豊富な情報がコンパクトにまとめられてて非常にわかりやすく、入門書にはぴったりです。
自分で一から珈琲を煎れてみたくなりました。
