イチオシです！色々な本と比べて購入しましたが、2005年6月現在、
最新の本だけあって、非常に良いと思いました。これでもかと言う位、写真が満載ですし、
セキセイ、オカメなど、人気のインコだけに絞って作成されているので、該当の鳥を飼う（すでに飼っている）方はもれなく購入をお勧めします。また、一般人にとって実際に飼ううえでのかゆい所に手が届く
解説が多く、大変役にたちます。観ているだけで楽しい本ですが、色々な小鳥が飼いたくなってしまい、どっぷりハマってしまいそうで。。。

セキセイインコを飼っていまして、インコについてはインターネットの
情報に頼るようにしていましたが、やはりネットではなく「本」が欲しい！
いつでも好きな時にインコの写真を見たり、何か疑問があったらすぐ
調べられればいいなと思い、本屋さんでこの本を買いました。
私にとって初めてのインコ本です。

その後もよくインコ本を買ったりしていますが、この本はまさに
１冊目に向いている本だと思いました。
色々あるインコ本の中で、どれを選んでいいか分からない方には
オススメだと思います。

中はオールカラーで写真が多く、しかも全写真にそのインコの
種類や性別、年齢(若鳥、老鳥…)が書いてあるので参考になります。
各ページの見出しも大きく、拾い読みもしやすい、
各インコの種類も分かりやすい。文章もそんなにダラダラ長くなく、
かといって説明不足という感じではないので読みやすいです。
今、私が持っているインコ本の中で、家族が最も読む本はこれなんです。
写真が多いので小学生の方、文章を読むのが苦手な方にもいいですね。

文章の行間に、ことりへの愛情が感じられます。
ただかわいさだけを強調する本ではなく、
インコが食べてはいけない植物についてや、
日常の事故防止への配慮についても細やかに触れています。
本当に大切にことりを飼ったことのある人にしか書けない内容です。
かわいい表情をとらえたカラー写真も満載。心癒されます。
インコ好きとして、お勧めの一冊です。
