まずひらがなの、それも楷書から丁寧にトレーニングしていく形を取っています。基本的に行書ではなく楷書の練習帳だと思ったほうがいいでしょう。なので、字の汚い人には向いていて、行書の練習をしたいと思っている人には向かないでしょう。

ひらがなの練習を1文字づつやったあと縦書き単語の練習、縦書き文章の練習、横書きの単語の練習・文章の練習と続き、カタカナでも同じことを繰り返し、その上で漢字の練習に移ります。非常に丁寧に練習できるので、自分の字が汚いと思ってる日とは1日1ページずつでも練習すると効果が出ると思います。

コピーして使えば何度でも練習できる…なんて謳い文句も本文中にありますが、それをやると1枚10円のコピーで新品1冊買うくらいのお金がいるので、それなら新しいのをまた1冊買ったほうが賢明だと思いますね(＾＾；

ボールペン字の本はたくさんありますが、行書中心の本が多い中楷書をきれいに書きたいと思っていた自分にはぴったりの本でした。
本の開きが大きく作られているので広げたり書き込むのにとても楽です。
私は、直接書き込むよりもたくさん練習したかったので、ノートにお手本の文字を真似て練習しています。
お手本を真似て書くということですが、数ヶ月続けていますがだいぶ文字がまとまってきました。
この本ではひらがな、カタカナ、部首のバランス、手紙に使われる文字などが学べます。
楷書をきれいに書きたいと思う方には入門書としていい本だと思います。
以前通信教育のボールペン字を受講したことがありますが（途中挫折）、お手本を見ながら練習をするという点では同じなので、手軽に始めたい方にはおすすめできる本です。自分の文字にもっと自信を持ちたい、ステップアップしたいと考えているので、もう一度通信教育にも挑戦しようと思っています。
いい意味できっかけを与えてくれた本になりました。

書店で色々と探した結果、楷書の練習帳として購入しました。手紙などに書く時の、スラスラと書くかっこのいい字の練習にはこの本ではなく行書が適しているのかも知れません。そのあたりは購入時に注意した方が良いと思います。私はこの本を板書、つまり、黒板やホワイトボードに文字を書くための練習のために買いました。癖のない見やすい字の練習にはぴったりの本です。あと紙の質がいいので、インクの乗りが良いです。その辺もこだわって作っているようです。
