一連の成功本の流れに違和感を感じていたところ、その流れに物申す２冊の本を精神科医の方がブログで紹介しており、さっそく本書を読んでみました。本書は成功本の言葉を鵜呑みにするのではなく、自分の性格を踏まえて自分なりにアレンジするノウハウが説かれています。もう一冊は「願わなければ叶う５つの真実」という本ですが、こちらは成功法則を超えた成功法則とも言うべき心のあり方が語られています。この２冊はセットで読まれることを是非オススメします。見えなかった成功の本質が見えてきます。

　成功本ブームに異を唱える貴重な本。
　人にはいろいろなタイプがあり、タイプによって成功法則も違うはず、という主張には、ハッとさせられた。
　世の成功本に決定的に欠落した発想だ。

　ただ、惜しいのは、著者の姿勢、やや腰が引けている感じがする点だ。
　表題や目次構成、帯のキャッチフレーズは、かなり積極的に成功本を否定し批判する表現になっている。
　編集者の意図は、ベストセラーの成功本を徹底的にたたきたいのだろう。
　読者も当然それを期待する。

　それに対して、内容は、「間違いではないが、こういう面もあるよ」という程度にとどまってしまっている。
　著者が、ベストセラーの成功本に遠慮しているのだろうか。

　後半は結局どうすればいいのか、というアドバイスが含まれているが、これが「どうしたら成功するか」という別の成功本になってしまっている。
　著者の目的は、成功本批判ではなく、自分流の成功アドバイスの開示にあったのだとわかる。

　編集者の意図と著者の姿勢に乖離が見られるようで、そこに消化不良の読後感。

本のタイトル、帯に書かれていた言葉に惹かれて購入したのですが、読んでみると、特にどうということはない内容でした。
「成功本は数多くあるが、その通りしても成功するとは限らない。なぜなら、人の性格によって合う合わないがあるからである。」
平たく言うなら、著者の主張は以上のようなものです。私は当たり前のこととして受取りましたが・・。
この話を聞いて、「え！！？？」と思った人は読んでみると得るものがあるのでしょう。
