売れっ子作家の石田衣良がおくる恋愛エッセイ。
いつもながら、著者の言葉選びの腕は絶品。ここまでセンスよく言葉を扱える人は現代作家の中でもそうそういないのではないでしょうか。
その良質の言葉と著者のリベラルな意見があいまって、本書に妙な説得力を持たせています。
「恋愛（結婚）にはマネーの知識も必要」とか「決まった当たりクジはないのだから、手当たり次第に付き合ってみるのも手」など、一瞬言葉に詰まるようなことも、著者が発信するとなぜかストンと内側に落ちてくるから不思議です。

ちなみに私がナルホドと頷いてしまったのは以下の文。
「人間は、重大なことは軽やかに選んだほうが、むしろいい結果が出たりするものなんですよ。それで失敗したら、笑ってそのカードを捨てればいいんです。次のカードはひけるんですから。」
著者が結婚ついて言及したものですが、私はこれを読んで就職先をエイッと決めました。

恋愛に特別興味がなくても、生活の中でいきづまったときに本書を開けば、打開のヒントを得られるかもしれない、そんな1冊です。

恋につまずいたり臆病になった時に手に取ってはいかがでしょうか。
恋愛に真っ只中であっても熱冷ましとしても良いと思います。
恋に心傾けるのも悪くはないけど立ち止まって自分を見つめ直すというのも恋愛向上に繋がるのではないでしょうか。

片思いをしている時に手に取った本。

多くのマニュアル本があふれている中で、これは私にあったものだったのか、何度も読み返してしまいます。
片思い時ゆえに印象に残ったのは、相手に思いを伝える時、『根性ではなく知恵をつかいましょう。』というくだり。
ストレートに思いを伝えるのもいいけれど、やっぱりよく知らない人からいきなり言われるより、仲良くなってから言った方が成功率は上がるもの。納得でした。
男性からの思いが書いてあるため、すごく参考になります。

そしてやっぱり、恋は人生の全てじゃなく、私の人生を豊かにしなきゃって思ったのです。
前から好きな作家ではあったけれど、これで一気にファンになりました。

私は不倫に破れた時、手に取りました。石田氏のストレートかつ温かい言葉に励まされ、恋をした自分を認めていいと教えられました。氏のエッセイをこれからも読みたいです。
