著者の言うとおり、うちに帰って机に向かうのはツライです。「自分は家では勉強できない、という現状を認識することから始めましょう」という一節には、思わず笑ってしまいました。もともと机に向かうより、寝ころんだり入浴したりしながら勉強する方がはかどるたちでしたが、この本に出会ってさらに15分という細切れ時間の有効利用を考えるようになりました。電車内や歩き途中などに最適な学習法のモデルなども出ていて、参考になります。そういう意味では、通勤に限らず「机の前以外の時間」(多忙な主婦の一日なども)の活用は、時間活用と効率UPの両面から理に適っているのかも・・・と思わされた一冊でした。

英語の勉強をはじめてはや1年が経ちました（現在、３８歳のおじさんです）。自宅での学習を中心に、英会話スクールに通学しているのですが、思うように習得できずに悶々とした日々を過ごしていたとき、この本に出会いました。

電車での通勤時間を上図に使うコツが、非常に具体的に書かれており、大変、読みやすかったです。ボキャブラリ、リスニング、文法、リーディングの各章から構成されており、各トレーニングについてお勧めの教材（書籍）も紹介されているため、この本から他の本の特徴がわかるのもＧＯＯＤです。

私のような初級者でも充分理解できるように書かれているあたりも好感がもてました。とにかく実践向きな一冊です。

勉強のコツと本書の著者が書いた他の本の紹介が主体でした。スコア獲得に気合が入っていて且つ受験経験が浅い人には良いかもしれません。自分の場合はこのスコアを取らないと仕事に支障が出るなどの深刻さが無いので、あまりガツガツした勉強法の研究より楽しく進めたいという感想が残り役に立ちませんでした。
