「いや　玄関先で　二人で　しゃべった方が　いいんだよね　翔太。　そうだよね？」
…春太郎が翔太君のうちに来たとき「あら上がってもらったら？」という翔太ママを制して。

いやぁ、こういうセリフはなかなか言えませんぜ。
さりげなく、かつ奥が深い、思いやり。

私は４５歳・高１の娘持ちの父親ですが、ほとんど打ちのめされました。
言えねぇ。まわりの「大人」を見回しても、こんなセリフが言えるヤツ、いやしねぇ。

翔太パパ、出世すると思います。というか、こんな人がいたら、私、ついていきたい。翔太パパと一緒に仕事してみたいなぁ。

こんなに爽やかな学園モノを読んだのはかなり久しぶりな気がします。
学園モノというともっぱら女の子の視点OR男子の視点のどちらか極端な視点で描かれることが多いのですが、よしながさんの作品というだけあって、やっぱり中立的な視点で描かれていますね~

主人公・春太郎を始めとする個性的なクラスメイトたちは「ちびまるこちゃん」を彷彿とさせます。この作品に出てくるクラスメイトって必ず、クラスに一人はいたような人たちばかりで、その辺がリアル。
クラスメイトたちの会話といい、学校でなら必ずありそうな出来事までもがリアル。

でも、それでいてよしながさんらしく、物語は意外な展開をしていきます。そして、この展開の仕方が実に上手い！これは二巻が楽しみです。

学園ものです。高校生もの。でも安っぽい恋愛ものではありません。
登場人物がバラエティー豊か。

白血病だったため1年1ヶ月遅れで入学してきた花園春太郎（病気だったのかと疑うほど元気、金髪、そして超ストレートな性格。おとこ気好き）
ぷっくり、ぬいぐるみのようなかわいさを持つ三国君。
アニメ漫画萌え系キャラ大好きオタクなでかい高校生、真島。

女だけどオカマキャラな担任教師 斉藤滋。
そして、その担任の不倫相手の数学教師 小柳。
その他にも女だけど漢だぜ・・なクラス委員の山根さんや、チンピラみたいな外見だけど職業はひよこ鑑別師の春太郎の父親などなどみんな個性的で楽しい。

ストーリーは1話完結で、学校生活の些細な出来事に乗せて深いテーマが描かれていると思う。例えば、いじめ問題。露骨な暴力などではなく、ちょっとふざけてウソつかれたとか、やってる側はもちろん冗談だけど、された側は「これっていたずら？それとも軽いいじめ？」と思っちゃうみたいなこと。こういうこと学生時代、いや社会に出ても経験した人多いと思う。そういう微妙な人の感情をよしながさんは実にさらりと描けてしまう。もちろん笑いも忘れていません。
最後におまけとして夏コミに参加するおたくについて真島を使って描いてあるけど、こんな所でもよしながさんの人間洞察力にうなってしまった。
