屋台の味をそのまま再現する本。色々なタイ料理の本が有るけど。こういうコンセプトの本は珍しい。
巻末には食材を手に入れるための通販サイトのリストも有ります。ハーブ類は手に入れにくいものもあるので非常に便利です。

バンコクの屋台で直接アポなしでレシピを聞いただけあって、味は現地で食べたものと同じ！タイにいたころを思い出します。日本向けにアレンジされたタイ料理では物足りない方向け。レシピを聞きに行ったときのエピソードも面白い。巻末には日本ではなじみの薄い食材の解説もしっかりついてるし、食材店やネットショップのリストがあるのもうれしい。
ただし、辛い料理は現地のレシピそのままなので、本当に辛いのでご注意を。

ヤムウンセンが好きなので、作ってみたら、
タイで食べる味と同じ味になりました。

写真尽きでわかりやすいし、料理に関するエッセイ風の
読み物も読んでいて飽きることはありません。
巻末にあるタイ食材の解説、タイ食材を扱ってるお店のリストなど、
料理を作るのに有用な情報がたくさん載っています。

読んでいると、タイに行きたくてウズウズしてくる本です。
