本書を読んで小林家鷹という戦国時代を生きた鷹匠のことをはじめて知ったが、なかなか魅力的な人物である。どんな時代であっても、ひとつの技術を極めた人間は自分を見失わない生き方をするのだろうが、天下布武の号令のもと、時代を生き急いだ信長に天下一の鷹匠として寄りそった家鷹の眼は温かくも鋭い。信長の人物像はこれまでも数限りなく書かれてきただろうが、鷹狩りという戦国武将にとって欠かせない事業のなかにくっきりと刻み込まれた信長の姿には、また新たな側面が加えられたといっていいのではないだろうか。鷹狩りについてもいろいろなことを教えてくれる本書は、ぜひ多くの読者に手にとってほしいお薦めの本である。

歴史小説ファンはもちろんのこと、知的探究心
旺盛なビジネスマンや第一線で活躍中の
のすべての方に読み応えある。戦国武将
たちのロマンと野望を描ききっている大作です。
最近は価値観の崩壊現象と何かと冴えない
時代でもあり。パラダイムの変換が急速に
起こっている時代でもあります。そんな今この一冊

白鷹伝は戦国武将の成すすべのない時代に翻弄されつつ
も鷹匠としていきる男の姿が生き生きと描かれています。

私、熟読してしまいました。

昨今、内容の希薄な小説がやたらと目に付く中で、文体良く、調査内容の深さ、塾考性の有る本を、久々に発見しました。

マンネリ化する歴史小説の登場人物の中で、目新しい主人公「天下一の鷹匠と謳われた小林家鷹」の、戦国時代を生き抜いた 「静なる力強さ」に感銘しました。

歴史小説の中で小気味良くストーリー展開がなされ、読者に対する、情景描写のもって行き方もうまく、息付く間のない間だに読み終えて終う、長編小説は、仲々無いと思います。
