トリコロールカラーのタイトルとしゃれた手書きの地図の描かれた表紙を見て思わず手に取り衝動買いしてしましました。
中を開くと昔からあるレトロな洋館や欧米にいるかのようなかわいいショップやカフェが色鉛筆のイラストで描かれ、
東京居住暦ウン十年を経ても「へーこんな場所があるんだー」と改めて探検などしてみたくなります。
ただ、実際これを片手に歩いてみると地図がかなり簡潔で、土地勘のない地域だと路地裏のお店が見つけづらかったりすることもあり...
確実にそこを目指そうとするのならもう少ししっかりした地図と併用した方がいいかなと思いました。

ビジュアル的にはとても素敵な本ですよ。

すげさわさんの可愛らしいイラストと文章で　いろいろな街の素敵なお店や場所などがたくさん載っています。
子育て中で、なかなか遠出することが出来ないんですが、
イラストから伝わってくる、出掛けて好きなお店に入った時の
あの楽しいワクワクな気分になりました。
時間が出来るようになったら、地図も載っていたので
気になるお店に行ってみたいです。
大好きな本たちの中に仲間入りの一冊です。

すげさわかよさんの海外の絵も雰囲気が大好きでした。Tokyoもこの人の手にかかると、こんなに素敵なところだったのね、と私の東京観を一変させてもらいました。東京に住んでる者でもホレボレと観られます。
ちょうど最近に御茶ノ水あたりなど歩いてみましたが、確かにこんな雰囲気だよね〜、とすげさわさんみたいに絵は描けなくても、写真とか撮りに行きたくなります。東京を旅行でいらっしゃる人にもいいガイドになるのではないでしょうか。
