昔、喜劇王エノケンは、浅草水族館の二階でカジノ・フォーリーを公演してたんだって。それで、お腹がすくと網で水槽の魚をすくっては食べていたそうなんだけど、今はどうなんだろうと気にしてたら、書いてあった！　今は誰も食べないんだって。

中村 元
1956年、三重県生まれ。鳥羽水族館にてアシカトレーナーを経て、巨大水族館ブームの先駆けとなった新・鳥羽水族館をプロデュース。CATVによる連続番組「水の惑星紀行」などを手がけ、2002年まで同・副館長。その後、新江ノ島水族館の監修とプロモーションに携わり、現在、同水族館のアドバイザーを務める(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

本を手にとって目次をみるか、この本のデータをみて欲しい。水族館について、そういえばと思う疑問点が並べられている。
それらについて説得力のある解説が本書である。今まで読んだ水族館に関する本は特定の施設についての話が多かったが、本書ではなるべく一般論にして記載している。
みているだけではわからない水族館運営の苦労もわかる。
日本には68の水族館があり、巻末にはそのうちの35の水族館のリストが掲載されています。

水族館のちょっと不思議なことについて書かれた本です．
どうやって魚を運んでいるのかなぁ〜とか，何を食べているのかなぁ〜とか．．
素朴な疑問に答えてくれます．
「へぇ〜」と思うことがたくさんのっています．

水族館好きにはかなりおすすめの一冊です．
この本を読むことで，ますます水族館を楽しめるようになると思います．

おもろいこれ。
水族館について誰もが一度は疑問に思うようなことをまとめて答えてくれる。
「死んだ魚はどうするの？？」
「地震の時はどうするの？？」
「水槽の岩はどうやって入れるの？？」
などなど、もりだくさん。
付録として水族館用語辞典等もついてるし、水族館好きなら読んで絶対損はしない一冊。
