ほんとに楽しいです！　好きなマンダラを選んで、好きなところから、好きなように好きな色で塗る。単純で楽しめます。出来上がったものは、｢私の作品｣になり、飽かずに眺めてしまいます。この本で薦めている様に、サインペンのようなはっきりした色で塗るとメリハリがあって良いようです。色鉛筆だとぼやけた感じです。でも、色々な画材で試してみるのも楽しいと思います。

この本のカバーでは、「色を塗ることでストレスが開放されます」と描いています。
これは、心理学でいう「絵画療法」「内観療法」
。スピリチュアルでは「瞑想」「内観」の概念と同じと思います。
土台がありとっつきやすいのと、自分の思うように色を塗っていく、「自分自身」を「見つめる」にはとても手軽だと思います。
塗っていく内に楽しく塗れると思いますし、創造力の強化（右脳）にも繋がっていくと思います。
現代の子供も大人もストレスの多い現実に、役立つ入門書ならぬ入門絵だと思います。

マンダラの塗り絵をしているといつの間にか集中しています。

手にまかせて色を選んで塗っていると心が穏やかになってきます。

出来上がりを見てびっくり！とても美しく仕上がっているのです。

多くの友達と一緒に同じ柄の絵を塗り塗りしても
全く雰囲気の違った作品が出来上がるのがとても興味深いです。

訳者はカラーペンを使うことをお薦めしていますが、
僕は色鉛筆のほうがマンダラがイキイキとしてくる感じがします。

画材は好きなものを使うのがいいですね。

好みのマンダラができますよ。

ちなみに原書のマンダラ本は２冊でています。

・Coloring Mandalas 2: For Balance, Harmony, and Spiritual Well-Being

本書は２冊目の“Coloring Mandalas 2”の日本語訳です。
