合気道を稽古の中には禊の行法が取り込まれていて、切り離せない。だが、その行法がどのような歴史を持っているのか、ということについては非常に情報が少ない。川面凡児先生以前がまったく闇の中である。川面先生がどのように禊を体系化したかについては全集を参照するしかないが、絶版となっていて入手は難しい
当初は数少ない、川面凡児先生についての研究結果が読める著作である。
