英国、カントリー、ナチュラル、モダン、和洋折衷、ミックス、アジアン、色々なテイストの家が登場します。
写真や説明も豊富で、作りたい部屋の方向性がはっきりしていない人はぜひ見てみるといいです。
また、方向性が決まっている人も、｢こういうスタイルもあったんだ｣と、新しく取り入れていくことも可能です。
綺麗に見える壁や家具などの色の組み合わせもしっかりと説明されています。

どの家も共通して、すっきりとしています。生活感がないというか・・・。
家具や道具は、選び抜かれた良い物が置いてありました。
良い物を長く大事に使っていこう、という考え方が全ての家から感じられました。

巻末には、収納についての特集もあります。
収納と言っても、まずはたくさんあり過ぎる物を捨てる、処分するところからスタートしています。
物が少ない方がインテリアが映えるということでしょう。
美しい暮らしを突き詰めていくと、シンプルライフにたどり着くのかな、と感じました。
