栗原はるみさんのファンなので、正直、あまり
期待はしていませんでしたが、
男の料理ならではの大胆さとか、シンプルさがあり
はるみさんのレシピよりも、日常使いには
重宝しています。

きちんとした料理を作りたい人には向いてないかも
しれないけれど、
材料は少ないし、調味料も家にあるものでできるし、
何より時間がかかる料理がほとんどなかったのがよかったです。

めんつゆやマヨ、ソースなど
料理下手な私が頼ってしまいがちな調味料類を
手抜きしてない程度に格上げしてくれるのも。
私のレベルにはちょうどよい感じでした。

はるみさんのレシピも、いわゆる家庭のふつうの料理を
手抜きしないように見せてくれるものが多かったので
ありがたかったのですが、本を開くのは、料理に
気合を入れたいとき。

それが２世になると、私の舌がなじんでしまった
味つけも加わっていて、その変遷も面白かったです。

この本を手に取った感想はまず、「これを一冊の本にまとめる理由がわからない」です。
別に内容的に、ひどいとか間違ってるとかではなく、普通の料理を普通に載せているだけ。
いま、こんなにたくさんの料理本が出ている時代に、なぜわざわざこの内容で本にするかな？と・・・
「簡単」とか「すばやく」をコンセプトにした本でもないみたいですし。
また、すごく気になったのは、調理中の素手で食材をさわっている写真に、清潔感が感じられないこと。
なんとなくイヤな気分になりました。

私の好きなケンタロウもあまり好きではない（と言うか興味のない）コウケンテツも、そしてこの栗原心平も“2世料理家”です。

要するに本の中身はどうにでも作れるので、出版社が欲しいのは少しでも売れる要素だという卑近な例と言えましょう。

正直、栗原はるみさんのご子息である心平氏の実力は分かりません。
分かりませんが、多分栗原はるみさんの息子でなければこのように若くしてレシピ本を出版することはなかったでしょう。

本の中身は可もなく不可もなく、です。
まあ、どれも作ってみればそれなりにおいしいとは思います。
ただ、もし料理に少しでも誠実さを求めるのであれば「和風ダシの素」とか「顆粒鶏がらスープの素」等はあまり使わないで欲しいと個人的には強く感じます。
もちろんお母様のプロデュースする「ゆとりの空間」ブランドのこれら調味料には味の素など入っておらずおいしいのでしょうが、普通の人にとって「ダシの素」やら「鶏がらスープ」はスーパーで普通に売ってる、料理の素材を台無しにしてしまう味の素たっぷりの極めて人工的な味の調味料のことですから。

それにしても…。

はぁ〜、どこを見渡しても世襲、世襲…。
何の縁もコネもないけど一所懸命努力している人に未来はないのでしょうか。
