かえるちゃん（松本朱希子さん）が、自宅で友達のために料理を作っている「かえる食堂」のレシピ集。
実家から送られてくる新鮮なお野菜や、果物、海の幸を使った料理たち。
どれも素材の味をいかした優しい味付けです。
お料理のレシピは、すごく簡単なものあれば、手間がかかるものもいろいろ。
どちらかというとお料理中級から上級者編のレシピ本だと思います。
レシピ本というよりもエッセイ的要素も大きいです。
見ていると安心するようなキレイな風景写真もすてきだし、かえるちゃんによるミシン刺繍もかわいいし、お料理の写真もスタイリングもセンス◎
クウネルや天然生活、アルネ、日々などの雑誌がすきなかたにおすすめです。

著者が自宅で広島の実家から届く野菜を中心に
知り合いを招いて「かえる食堂」を開いている。
メニューは素朴な感じのものばかりで
手に入り安い素材を生かしたシンプルなもの。
体にやさしいくほんわかした気持ちにさせてくれる。
自分もキッチンを食堂にして
気のおけない友人を招待してみたくなる本です。

作りやすく、ヘルシーなレシピが乗っています。 野菜を使ったり、ヘルシーなお料理は まずかったり、作りにくかったりしがちですが、 「かえる食堂」のレシピは作りやすいし、とっても美味しいんです。
私のお気に入りは、白ネギと豚バラを使ったロールネギです。これならネギ嫌いな人でもいっぱい食べられると想います。
