メルモン,ステファン
フランス出身、アメリカ在住。’90~’91年のフランス・シンクロナイズドスイミングデュエット王者。現在は振付師、アクアテック・インストラクターで、ネバダ州立大学公認ピラティス・インストラクター。北米ではピラティスの第一人者として知られ、ラスベガスのショービジネス界で彼の指導を仰ぐアーティストは多数。自らも’97~’02年にシルク・ド・ソレイユのラスベガスショー『O』に出演していた。また各国シンクロチームの振付も担当し、’03年世界水泳で金メダルを獲得したデデューや、同大会のデュエットで銀メダルに輝いた日本の立花・武田組は彼が指導。さらに歌手セリーヌ・ディオンのパーソナル・トレーナーとしても有名(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

モデルさんやメルモン氏も出演の写真付きで説明がとても詳しく載っています。写真入りの本って写真付きだからって説明が簡単でいまいちの本が多いんですけどこの本はそのポーズの注意事項とかも含め、ほんと詳しく載せてくれてますよ。
途中、日常生活でできるピラティスや、ゴムバンドやボールなどを使ったピラティスも載っているところも嬉しいです。

巻末にはピラティスカードがついています。

最近話題の『インスパイリング・エクササイズ』をご覧になったことがあるだろうか？
この本に掲載されているエクササイズがほとんどである。

ダイエット系の本を購入希望なら、この本の購入をオススメする。

『ダイエット系の本はこの本を手本にしている』と私は思っている。
