前２作は、それぞれ、読み物としても楽しめる本・初心者にも分かりやすい写真満載、懇切丁寧な本･･･でした。この本は、オーソドックスな作り方で石鹸を作っていて、「もっともっとキレイな石鹸」「特別な機会に作る石鹸」といった石鹸マニアの我がままを形にしてくれるものです。見た目もずっと贅沢に、子供用石鹸、季節にあわせた石鹸といったテーマ別に書かれています。特別の機会に誰かにプレゼントする為に石鹸を・・・と思う方には特にオススメ。

とても美しい本です。前著2作とはまた趣が違っていて、こちらはすこしおしゃれなイメージのレシピがメインです。オイルも今までの著作よりぐっと高価なものをどんどん使っていますし、石けんのネーミングも素敵です。
また、透明石けんの作り方が詳しく載っている日本の本はなかなかないので、透明石けんのレシピだけのために買ってもいいくらいです。
私にとっては、自分で作りたい石けんのイメージを膨らませる為の写真集＋エッセイ本のような存在です。自分ではあまり作らないのですが、読んでいると幸せな気分になります。

前の２作に比べて、色もﾃﾞｻﾞｲﾝもきれいで作りたくなるものがたくさん
ありますが、エッセンシャルオイルをたくさんいれて、時間をかけて
作るものなので、どちらかというと、誰かのお祝いに特別に作ってあげたい
ようなものが多いです。パプリカなどの身近なもので、きれいな色が出る
というアイデアは参考になり、香料なし石けんでも色だけでも楽しめます。
クレイ石けんは、グリーンモンモリオナイトと、ガスールでマーブル模様に
作ってみましたが家族にも、友人にも好評でした。ちょっと材料集めが
たいへんそうなので、星ひとつぶん少なくなりました。
