江守氏の字が好きなので購入したのですが、内容がとても充実していて良かったです。
１．見出しは毛筆、筆順はペン字で示されています。見出しの字の大きさは約8mm×8mmとかなり小さめです。
２．筆順が複数ある字は、そのすべての筆順を記載してあります。
３．「筆順の知識」という項目で大まかな筆順の考え方について記載してあり、筆順は伝統的に一通りとは限らないことがわかります。
４．筆順の基本編で、よく使う部首の筆順が解説されています。
５．筆順の特殊編では、旧字体や特殊な漢字の筆順についても記載されています。
６．付録にひらがな、カタカナ、ローマ字の筆順も載っています。
７．美しい字を書くためのポイントが少しだけ載っています。（たとえば「寺」の字は土の下の横線を寸の横線より長く書く方がバランスがよい…など）
字が小さいので、字の手本として使用するには向かないと思いますが、筆順の本を探している人には値段も安くて内容が充実しているのでおすすめです。

筆順辞典がほしいと思ってさがしていましたが、辞典だと重くて持ち運ぶのが面倒。これは、まさに、ハンドブック。この内容でこのお値段というのも、うれしいところです。

　どの漢字も正しい筆順で書いている人は、そう多くはいないような気がするのです。偉い学者先生が、あれ、あれと思うような筆順で書いているのを見て、嬉しくなることがあります。恬淡として枝葉末節を意に介さないというのでしょうか。
　本書はどれか、まず基準を示してくれているのでありがたいです。私自身今更間違って覚えて、ずっと書き続けた筆順を一つ一つ正していこうとは思いません。知っている人に見られて恥ずかしかったことですが、小中学時代に身についたものが、今更急に直せません。

「必」は最も困りものですね。心を先に書き、後からたすきがけするのは「ほんとうは望ましくない」と註釈、正しい書き方を二とおり紹介して、どちらでもよいとのこと。「飛」も「成」も間違って覚えていました。人のことは言えません。「右」「左」は違うことを以前教えられて書き分けていますが、日常生活に不便はないでしょう。より美しく、整った文字にするには、書き順が必須条件でしょうが、分かればいいという伝達主義で押されると、無意味に近くなります。
　
　ひらがな・カタカナだけは誰しもすべて正しく書けるはずだと思いきや「や」の順序が「か」と同じに書く若者がいるのに、驚きました。当然「や」と書いているつもりなのでしょうが、「か」にも読み間違われるのです。書き順がいかに大事なかの見本にしたいところです。

　本書は日常よく使われる２５００字を選び、それによく見かける旧字体や特殊な字も加えて、その筆順のすべてを分かり易く示してくれています。手元に置いて必要なとき見開くのも愉しみになりましょう。交通ルールで、優先道路を共通理解しているように、筆順を守って書いておれば、その「誠実さ」に相手は暗々裡のうちに「信頼感」を覚えることになるに違いありません。
