第１版が、1979年のときに発行されたものなので、今、出ている化粧品の名前は載っていないので、ちょっと今読むのには、古いかもしれません。
しかし、今もある化粧品会社に、当時、化粧品を使って、肌に異常が出た人が苦情を訴えたものの、相手にされなかった人の苦しみ、化粧品を使って顔がかぶれてしまった悲しみが、切々と書かれています。

若干古い本とはいえ、今でも十分通じる、乳液、クリームの実際の値段、高い化粧品の恐ろしさが書いてあります。
