3.0 out of 5 stars ガイドブックとしてより読み物として, 2007/5/19
旅行者は，どんな困難があっても行ってしまうものである．
例え，この本が出ていなくても行ってしまう．そのことを，批判する気はない．
また，支援活動や職務で行くのは良くて，遊びで行くところではないという意見も，
確かかもしれないが，特権意識的な体臭が感じられて容易には同意したくない．

この本は，そんなどうしても行ってしまう旅行者のためのガイドブックであり，
記載の内容が正しいのであれば，そういう意味では良く書かれているのではないかと思う．
ネットでもアフガンの旅行記は多く読めるが，書籍のアドバンテージは網羅性と
ポータビリティであろう．

自分では行こうと思わないが，この本を読んでニュースでは出てこない，アフガニスタンの
ある一面を感じることができた．多くの読者は，ガイドブックとしてより読み物として
読んでいるのではなかろうか．

このガイドブックには、危険情報が全く記されていない。
アフガンで支援活動に従事する立場で言わせて貰えれば
そんな甘い場所ではない。
もちろん文化も歴史も人も自然も素晴らしい国には違いないが、
この本を鵜呑みにしたバックパッカーが大挙して押しかければ
死人が出るのは火を見るより明らかである。
主要都市を除いた全域に退避勧告が出ているのは、こことイラク
だけなのだ。

旅行者にはもちろん、アフガニスタンという国を知りたい人にもオススメだと思います。歴史や民族なんかが詳しく載っているので入門書としても使えます。

アフガニスタンにはもう旅行者も入っているらしいけれど、地図がなくて本当に苦労しました。はじめてガイドが出るらしいけれど、この地図はとっても貴重だと思う。
