「あのひとのことを考えると、わたしの呼吸はためいきに変わる」
　このようなうつくしい出だし、詩的な文体で、うっとりと読み進められるものだと思ってしまいました。
　なぜ、なぜ、中盤あたりから気持ち悪くて、生々しいことになってしまったのでしょう・・。それほどまでに想いを寄せる相手、賀集玲子は一見ふつうの女の子に見えます。それほどまで焦がれる魅力はなんだったんでしょうか？
　ただ、タマイという少年の出現はとても好きです。

想いを遂げられぬ相手と「つながり」を持つため主人公えりが
使った方法とは....まさに、ここまでするか、という驚きと恐怖。
でも「破滅へ向かう衝撃作」と謳われながら、読後感は不思議と悪くなかったです。

小説にのめり込む自分を忘れていました。書店で働いているため、ゲラやプルーフなどが届くのでそれを読むのが精一杯で、小説を楽しむことができなくなり、活字を辿る事さえ食傷気味になっていた私に、読むことの楽しさを思い出させてくれました。『田村はまだか』のゲラは読んでいたのですが、まぁ、面白い地元の作家だな、というくらいの感想でした。でも、この本の荒削りな走った文章にこの作家の将来性を感じた気がします。最近の落ち着いた文章もいいけれど、この作品の疾走感を忘れないでほしいと思います。
